It promotes research and cultural growth, and contributes to the social development of both the local and the national community. Its institutional objectives thus include education, study, and enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p>This project of collective growth is promoted, supported, and coordinated by the Educational Service, which boasts a long tradition and a significant history.<\/p>\n<p>The Annual Plan of Educational Activities is the instrument dedicated to planning in this specific area of the Museum\u2019s initiatives.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE OF THE GALLERIA BORGHESE<\/h3>\n<p>The primary objective of the Galleria Borghese\u2019s Educational Service is to promote the Museum as a place for learning about our cultural heritage and its values. It works collaboratively in cooperation with society at large to make its collections more understandable, enjoyable, and accessible for diverse publics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-349-1-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-last-child\" data-index=\"1\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3>INFORMAL EDUCATION: ACCESS TO THE HERITAGE<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Promoting and making the most of the heritage are closely connected with educational processes of the \u201cinformal\u201d kind, with activities addressed to the different interests of the diverse publics targeted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-349-2\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-349-2-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-349-2-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" ><div class=\"accordion panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-349-2-0-0\" id=\"accordion\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t><h3>FAMILIES<\/h3>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p>Particular attention is given to the families that visit the Museum. At their disposal are the thematic itineraries that tell in an original way the \u201cStories of the Borghese\u201d, which are conceived for different ages and therefore are suitable even for the youngest visitors. They present works, artists, and more, inviting active participation in the storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Dear children, we are waiting for you! (A very special awakening at the Galleria Borghese)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>curated by Marzia Di Tanna and Emanuela Mangia<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A video animation for children aged 4 to 8 and their families.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Episode I: A very special awakening<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Virginia, Bernardino\u00a0Licinio's\u00a0granddaughter, taken from his painting, Portrait of her brother's family, and the little\u00a0Sonno\u00a0by\u00a0Algardi\u00a0explore paintings and sculptures in the Borghese collection, driven by the typical curiosity of children, which leads them to notice certain iconographic details and to come across numerous characters, such as Cardinal\u00a0Scipione\u00a0Borghese, with whom they share adventures full of games and surprises.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can see the video <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CovhNxWsF_A\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Episode II: The honey binge and a funny dromedary<\/p>\n<p>Dear children, we left Virginia and Sleep in the mosaic by artist Marcello Provenzale, in the company of many animals, all ready to witness magic: who is Orpheus turning into? Are you ready to be enchanted by this new adventure? But the fun has only just begun: inside this room of the museum, the Venetian painter has also painted Eros's little brother and all together, our friends will make a big racket, whetting the appetite of...? The visitors (adults and children) will be guided in a search for kettledrums and panpipes, lyres and sistra, flutes and chitarrones, violas da braccio and da gamba, trombones and<br \/>\nhunting horns. They will be accompanied by the festive sounds of satyrs, as well as by the music of Apollo; listen in amazement to the gorgeous suspended chant of the Sibyl; and be enchanted by the melody of Orpheus.
