We are Here For You

Art historians, conservators and officials of Borghese Gallery tell us about a piece of the collection.

Guido Reni – Danza Campestre

We unveil the work that has arrived, or perhaps it would be better to say returned, to the Borghese Gallery and will be on display in the collection and therefore visible as soon as the museum reopens its doors.

Guido Reni (Bologna 1575-1642) Danza campestre 1601-1602 c. oil on canvas 81 x 99 cm

Francesca Cappelletti, Director of the Borghese Gallery, tells us the story of the work, from the painting’s provenance to its purchase, and some curiosities about the painting and the artist, inviting the public to a treasure hunt. Find out more by watching the video!
