GLANCES BEYOND TIME. EXTRAORDINARY OPENINGS OF THE MUSEUM WITH IMMERSIVE VISIT

Galleria Borghese presents Glances Beyond Time, a new and innovative visiting experience that, starting from December 16th, unites art, history, and technology through the use of augmented reality. A unique itinerary, designed to accompany the public on a fascinating journey through the centuries, discovering the evolution of the Museum and its extraordinary collections.

Thanks to cutting-edge tools, visitors will be able to closely observe the transformation of the Museum over time, which will take on new life by showing its appearance in different eras and recreating atmospheres, colors, and arrangements that are now lost. It will also be possible to see ancient works that once belonged to the collection, including the famous Gladiator, now preserved at the Louvre and virtually reinserted into its original context to offer a more complete and engaging historical reading.

The experience also includes a suggestive introduction in virtual reality dedicated to the history of Galleria Borghese, accompanying visitors from its seventeenth-century origins up to the contemporary era, revealing the role and metamorphosis of the Museum over the centuries.

The tour mixes a traditional visit to the collection’s great masterpieces with an intense immersive experience in virtual and augmented reality, combining the charm of the past with the potential of technology.
The initiative, in Italian and English, is available in the morning at 8:00 a.m. and lasts an hour and a half, or in the evening at 8:00 p.m. and lasts two hours. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to complete the preliminary activities. The tour will start strictly at the indicated time.

Booking is mandatory and the cost is €35 plus presale rights.

The visit involves the use of Oculus viewers, which are not recommended for children under 10 years of age.
