From the painting appreciated in the collecting dimension of the Borghese Gallery to the monumental one of one of the most important buildings of the Counter-Reformation. Several artists among those most admired by Cardinal Scipione Borghese worked in the church built at the end of the sixteenth century by order of Filippo Neri: Caravaggio, Federico Barocci, Cavalier d’Arpino and Rubens.
