“METAMORPHOSIS. OVID AND THE ARTS” EXHIBITION EXTENDED THROUGH OCTOBER 11
In light of the extensive response and interest from both the public and critics, the exhibition Metamorfosi. Ovidio e le arti, an exhibition project resulting from the collaboration between Galleria Borghese and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, has been extended until October 11, 2026.
Curated by Francesca Cappelletti and Frits Scholten, the exhibition is presented in Rome in an original configuration, the product of an intricate international scientific dialogue bringing together over eighty works from prestigious European and American museums. It is a journey that finds its ideal setting in Galleria Borghese: a space where the artworks resonate with one another and continue to offer new keys to interpretation.
Starting Tuesday, September 15, the exhibition will be further enriched by a new contribution: the film installation by British artist and director Isaac Julien, All That Changes You. Metamorphosis (2025), curated by Lorenzo Giusti and displayed in the Uccelliera. This intervention refreshes the theme of metamorphosis, creating an additional point of connection between the historical heritage of Galleria Borghese and contemporary artistic languages.
